About Chaps:

Chaps, one of the most popular gay bars in Toronto in the 1980's, opened in the wake of a prior gay bathouse called The Hot Tub Club. The Hot Tub Club was the target of police raids in the 1970's that forced it to close up shop, but it wouldn't be long until the magic was back to Isabella St. After its 9 year run, the club transformed to a Toronto branch of Badlands, and then a club called Power, before eventually becoming a grocery store in the mid 1990's.
