About Menjo's:

Menjo's is a Detroit institution, where Madonna was rumored to have been banned as a teen in the 70's and the site of the former Detroit Eagle. Menjo's folklore stands alone in the Motor City for its longstanding prescence. This matchbook and logo seem to pre-date the gay bar when Menjo's was still operating in the same space on McNichols in Detroit, Michigan. Menjo's original gay bar matchbook was a silver "NO", a response to the homophobia of the time that we are still on the hunt for today!
