About Ritch Street & The Ritch Street Baths
Ritch Street, on a quiet SOMA alley in San Francisco, was the home of a spa called Club San Francisco from 1967-1977 before it would become the epicenter of a gay revolution that would continue to be part of San Francisco for some 30 Years. Club San Francisco became the Ritch Street Baths, the hottest gay bath house (replete with an explicit billboard display) from 1977 until its forced closure in 1984. Afterwords the site became host to the legendary 330 Ritch Night Club and was the home home of online gay porn pioneering website NakedSword. In 2023 the space is operating as a rather post-gay cocktail destination called Victory Lounge.
