About the Hollywood Spa:

Opening in 1974, Hollywood Spa in Los Angeles boasted to host 100,000 men a year in their 100 room palace in Hollywood. It was one of three bar's to defiantly fight the 1988 forced closure of bath houses at the height of the AIDS epidemic. The Hollywood Spa continued operation for 40 years on Ivar Ave until its closure in 2014.
