About Trax: 

Trax, a beloved queer space located apart from the Beat-Driven Castro Scene, has been a mainstay in teh Haight neighborhood going back to the 1970's when it was called The Question Mark. It is still serving today as a reminder that queer bars like "Whoo Cares" and "Romeo's" on Haight street opened their doors to the gay community in San Francisco as early as the 1950's and 60's, long before the Castro was the gay destination it would later become.
